Terms and Conditions
Charter Business Refer-A-Business Program Terms and Conditions:
These terms and conditions ("terms") apply to the Charter Business Refer-A-Business program ("Business Referral Program" or "Program"). By referring a business customer, activating service or otherwise participating under the Program, the referring or referred business customer, as the case may be, agrees to these terms.
1. Account Credit for Referral. Subject to the terms and conditions that follow, a participant in the Charter Business
Refer-A-Business Program shall be entitled to a credit to be applied to the monthly recurring charges on his/her account
for each new customer referred by such participant to Charter Business that subscribes to Charter Business services within
120 days of the referral by the participant. Likewise and subject to the terms and conditions that follow, a new customer
subscribing to Charter Business services within 120 days of being referred to Charter Business by a referring participant in
this Program shall be entitled to a credit to be applied against his/her account.
2. Restrictions.
- 2.1 Referrals under this Program must be made through the use of Charter Business's online Refer-A-Business submission form.
- 2.2 Refer-A-Business credits are nontransferable and will be applied only towards the referring and referred customer accounts, whether or not such customers are receiving services from Charter Business at a promotional rate.
- 2.3 Referrals attributable to current business customers who are simply relocating to another area in which Charter Business's services are provided, shall not qualify as referrals for which credits will be issued under this program (as applied to both the referring and referred business).
- 2.4 Referral credit is available only to current Charter Business customers in serviceable areas who subscribe to Internet and/or Cable TV service with accounts in good standing.
- 2.5 Credits are available only for referrals resulting in new Charter Business service activations. In order to receive credit, the referred customer:
- 2.5.1 Must not have been a Charter Business customer for any service within 120 days of the referral.
- 2.5.2 Must activate Charter Business services within 120 days of receipt of the first Refer-A-Business email sent to Charter Business. Any referrals that have not activated service within the 120-day period will be automatically disqualified from the Program and be ineligible for application of credit for both the referring and referred customers.
- 2.5.3 Must sign up for service at the time they are contacted by a Charter Business representative.
- 2.5.4 Cannot also be the referring customer. Charter Business customers cannot refer themselves for additional services under this program.
- 2.6 Charter Business's tracking of orders and activation status shall determine the issuance of credits.
- 2.7 A LIMIT OF ONE CREDIT PER INVOICE (PER MONTH) WILL BE AVAILABLE AND APPLIED. LIKEWISE, ADDITIONAL APPROVED
CREDITS WILL BE APPLIED TO FUTURE INVOICES AT THE RATE OF ONE PER INVOICE (PER MONTH). THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CREDITS
WHICH A REFERRING CUSTOMER SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE UNDER THIS PROGRAM IS TEN (10), AND A REFERRED CUSTOMER CAN ONLY
RECEIVE ONE (1) CREDIT. CREDITS WILL BE APPLIED TO THE CUSTOMER'S INTERNET OR CABLE TV SERVICES AND NOT TELEPHONE
SERVICES.
- 2.8 Upon cancellation of service for any reason, any unused credits will automatically expire and may not be transferred, assigned or redeemed for cash. If multiple referrals for the same person are received, only ONE (1) credit (subject to these terms) will be provided for the referral first received by Charter Business, as determined by Charter Business. Credits may not be combined with other referral programs.
- 2.9 Charter Business Refer-A-Business Program is void in all areas where prohibited.
- 2.10 Employees of Charter Communications Inc. and its subsidiaries and the immediate family members of all such employees and all others with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to participate in the Program or receive any credits, discounts, or other promotional offers under this program, for referring a business customer to the Charter Business service, for being referred as a customer, or otherwise.
- 2.11 Charter Business reserves the right to alter, modify, suspend, or terminate this program at any time upon thirty (30) days' notice, which notice may be provided through revisions posted on Charter Business Refer-A-Business website.
- 2.12 The referring business or referred lead cannot subscribe only to Charter Business Telephone™ service. The current customer must have Charter Business Internet or Cable TV and the new referred customer must also subscribe to Charter Business Internet or Cable TV services.
3. CREDIT STATUS INQUIRIES.
IT IS ACKNOWLEDGED AND AGREED THAT THE REFERRING CUSTOMERS SHALL BE INFORMED OF THE SALE STATUS OF ANY REFERRED PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS TO THE LIMITED EXTENT NECESSARY TO KEEP THE REFERRING CUSTOMERS INFORMED OF THE STATUS OF THEIR POTENTIAL CREDIT UNDER THIS PROGRAM. NO SPECIFIC INFORMATION REGARDING THE NATURE OF SERVICES ULTIMATELY PROCURED BY THE REFERRED CUSTOMERS SHALL BE DISCLOSED TO THE REFERRING CUSTOMERS.
